Two costs, clearly separated
If you're an advertiser thinking about running an affiliate program on Crypto Caboodle, here's how billing actually works. The short version: there are two completely separate costs, and you control both.
1. The monthly platform fee (your subscription)
This is what you pay us for the platform itself — the tracking, fraud screening, affiliate management, reporting, and support. It's a flat monthly fee, and it does NOT cover what you pay your affiliates.
Three plans:
| Plan | Monthly fee | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $49 | One offer, up to 25 affiliates |
| Pro ⭐ | $199 | Up to 10 campaigns, unlimited affiliates (most popular) |
| Enterprise | $999 | Unlimited everything, dedicated account manager |
Pick a plan when you apply at Apply as an Advertiser, or browse them in detail at Pricing.
2. The wallet (what funds your affiliates)
This is a prepaid pot of money you fund yourself. Every time an affiliate sends you a converting customer, we deduct that affiliate's commission from your wallet. You decide:
- How much to fund it with
- When to top it up (Stripe credit card, or PayPal)
- A low-balance threshold (we email you when you get close)
- Optionally, per-campaign budget envelopes (caps spend per individual campaign)
You never get billed for affiliate commissions on a credit card. Everything flows through the prepaid wallet. If your wallet hits zero, your campaigns automatically pause — there's no overdraft, no surprise bill at end of month.
What we keep
On every approved affiliate conversion, the full payout goes to the affiliate from your wallet. Our cut is the monthly plan fee, NOT a per-conversion commission. There is no rake, no per-click charge, no hidden fee on top of what your affiliates earn. We're paid by you in plan fees; the affiliates are paid by you via the wallet.
What if a customer demands a refund?
You can reject the conversion. Rejecting a conversion refunds the wallet automatically — no manual reconciliation. The affiliate's pending balance reverts. Everything stays consistent.
Stripe vs. PayPal
- Stripe is the primary processor. Plan subscriptions auto-renew via Stripe. Wallet deposits via Stripe credit your wallet within seconds.
- PayPal is supported as a secondary option for wallet deposits and one-off subscription payments. Useful if your corporate card doesn't work in Stripe or your accounting team prefers PayPal.
Switching, upgrading, cancelling
- Upgrade any time — takes effect immediately, Stripe prorates the difference for the current month.
- Downgrade any time — takes effect at the end of the current billing period (so you don't lose paid-for features mid-month).
- Cancel any time — you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We never auto-renew a cancellation.
A worked example
You're on Pro ($199/mo), your wallet has $2,000 in it, and your campaign pays affiliates $50 per conversion.
This month:
- Stripe charges you $199 for the plan fee on day 1
- 30 conversions happen → 30 × $50 = $1,500 deducted from your wallet over the month
- Your wallet drops to $500 mid-month → we email you a low-balance warning
- You top up another $1,500 via Stripe → wallet is back to $2,000
- End-of-month total spend: $199 (plan) + $1,500 (affiliates) = $1,699
Notice the platform fee is fixed; everything else is pay-as-you-perform.
Common questions
Are there contracts or commitments?
No. Month-to-month subscriptions. Cancel any time.
Is there a free trial?
We approve applications individually. If you're a fit, we can set up a short pilot — ask during the application.
Is there a setup fee?
No.
Do I have to use Stripe?
For the wallet, both Stripe and PayPal work. For the recurring plan fee, Stripe is the default auto-renewing option; PayPal is a manual month-by-month payment if you prefer it.
What about taxes?
Affiliate payouts may produce 1099-NEC forms (US) — that's handled by Stripe Connect on the affiliate side. Your end of the platform is a SaaS subscription + prepaid balance, both standard business expense categories.
